My Portfolio
Uncommon Gear, LLC: All-in SEO, Marketing & Merchandising

Quality content is still the cornerstone of good SEO and marketing.
That's why I became an industry expert on tactical rifles and shooting sports at Uncommon Gear, LLC.
By mastering the knowledge of the industry, and its products and customers, I've published and still produce written and video content that competes and beats competing brands -- many of which employ a dozen or marketing and content personnel.
Combining expertise with merchandising, industry partnerships, and marketing campaigns.
Good content is just one pillar of all-in marketing and SEO. Leveraging expertise of the industry and working cross-functionally as an industry Buyer, Merchandising Manager, and Marketing Manager altogether has allowed for better optimizing of our websites' product offerings and marketing campaigns. It pays to truly know and understand your audience and the products you and they love to use.
Over many years and in partnership with my colleagues, we transformed our eCommerce platforms into multi-million-dollar brands driven successfully by dominating organic search, carefully crafting our catalogs and websites, producing "rank-#1," authoritative content that helps our audience further their passions, and pursuing a deep understanding of our products so we know what our audiences desire.
Turn5, Inc & Uncommon Gear, LLC: Content & Video Production

Levering video content is more important than ever before.
That's why I mastered the scriptwriting and research processes for video production, and later hosted video content at Turn5, Inc before eventually pursuing all-in-one video content creation on my own.
I started working in the eCommerce SEO space by improving how we researched, wrote, and published our brands' products. Mastering our products' unique selling points and having an intimate knowledge of our customers' wants and needs guided my approach to producing videos that supported brand growth and conversion rates.
Producing videos that transform customers into their own experts.
Customers with expert product knowledge are more confident buyers. They convert more easily, and they spend more money. They're also more loyal to the brands that mentored them and helped them to better understand their hobbies and passions.
So, that's how I started writing and shooting videos: With the goal of inspiring confidence in customers, teaching them about products and their vehicles and firearms, and giving them the knowledge to work on their projects more effectively themselves.
Knife Know-It-All: Pet Project

Mastery of SEO requires continuous improvement and commitment.
In other words: If you want to be the best SEO, you need to forever hone your skills. If you want to rank first, you need to love what you do.
I beat competitors and single-handedly take millions in market share because I do, indeed, love what I do. I enjoy writing, technial analyses, pursuing partnerships, building links, and identifying competitor weaknesses. Above all, I love winning.
That's why I started Knife Know-It-All.
This knife review blog is my pet project. I use it to keep my writing and SEO skills sharp. I approached this project with a few questions:
If I crafted a website from scratch -- and committed to 100% SEO perfection from day one -- how far could I reach? How quickly could I edge out competitors? How many rank-1st SERPs could I own? How much profit could I earn from raw visitor volume and page RPM alone?
The results have been promising. Six months after publication and with little domain authority, I've started to beat established competitors. I'm confident Knife Know-It-All will become a healthy passive income stream in short order.
